This isn't your typical paper crane and stars origami workshop. The Kami Paper team is always keen to develop new skills and our Kabuki and Kimono Origami Workshop, presented by Chieko Yamazaki Hester, is perfect for artists or beginners looking for something new to add to their repertoire!
Origami is an ancient cultural discipline, reflective of both the complexity and simplicity of nature and the world around us.
In this workshop, you will learn the entire process of the creation of Kimono and Kabuki costume models with paper. These costumes spring from traditional Japanese culture and are an unmistakably distinct tradition since the Nara period (710-794) until today.
At the end of this live streaming origami workshop, you will have gorgeous origami creations of Kabuki and Kimono costumes. Plus, you'll have all the skills to keep folding at home - your next favourite hobby!
This is a great indoor activity idea for individuals, couples, groups of friends and teenagers.
