A playfully inspiring workshop where natural dyeing basics will be shared and experimented with! Perfect for anyone, including beginners, and those looking for unique things to do at home.
In this live online class, you will learn how to bundle eco dye and create with plants and food, plus other natural materials. We will also use flowers, food, weeds and leaves to create eco print patterns on raw cotton with a basic technique simple to do with children and share with friends for gifts!
In this class, you will be making your own natural eco-dyed silk scarf or we can help with another project from your home.
The eco-dyed kit that you will be delivered to your home when booking the class, will help introduce you to the simple joy of bundle dyeing that you can do in your own kitchen pot. It's so much fun to do alone for creative self-care or share with your loved one to make your own scarves together!
Each kit is valued at over $40 each jar with locally foraged ingredients to use to colour fabric.
Please note: If less than two people are booked in we will reschedule the date and time of the workshop. Thanks for your interest in our online workshop.

She studied Fashion and Construction after graduating High School at East Sydney TECH Fashion Studio.
After having her children, two who suffered from eczema, she looked into the benefits of Organic Cotton clothes and cloth nappies. In 2005 she started the business of ethical baby and children's products online/brick and mortar store in Auckland, New Zealand.
This progressed into her own brand Imp`ish, Organic Cotton Kids Clothes, where she designed her own fabrics for the clothing range. They were hand screen printed in house at the Fair Trade Factory in India. The journey visiting India after designing the fabrics and seeing the Organic Farming from plant to processed printed fabric. Supported ethical and traditional practices of natural materials eco-dyed and printed - the passion for Textile Design was born.
After wrapping up the business end of 2012, relocating to Sydney, and working as a N.S.W Visual Merchandiser for an International Fashion and Homewares company. This fast fashion industry motivated Joanne to return to study at the Sydney Fashion Studio to learn more about Textile Design and Printing.
At the beginning of 2015, the opportunity to start a home-based studio venture was established.
Inside Jo.B is a small slow fashion label that’s focused on one of a kind pieces.
Our fabrics are sourced by local ethical Sydney and Melbourne suppliers that have been in business for nearly 2 decades.
Inside Jo.B is focused on creating minimum waste pieces each design is constructed with this practice and intention. Each garment is one-off created ethically with locally sourced supplies here in Australia made “slow" fashion. These styles are androgynous and appealing to those wanting a unique piece, with fabrication speaking in raw richness, simple cut and conscious that the simplicity of it won’t date; in dresses, tops, kimonos, boleros intimates and pillowslips.
