Calling all chocolate lovers! Looking for indoor activities that are fun, creative and delicious? Join Jessica Pedemont for this online chocolate making class.
This informative workshop has been designed for all experience levels, from the food enthusiast who wants to wow everyone with their amazing cakes to more advanced students looking to hone in their techniques.
Over four hours, you'll gain a deeper understanding and knowledge of working with specialty craft chocolate which Jessica has produced from the other business she co-founded South Pacific Cacao to create fabulous, sweet creations! Upon booking the class, Jessica will also provide you with a recipe to make a cake for decorating, or you can use your own recipe or you can buy one!
Class outline:
  • Set up a round cake with chocolate ganache and create sharp edges.
  • ‘Temper’ craft chocolate.
  • Make precise chocolate plaques.
  • Learn how to use chocolate transfer sheets.
At the end of your online class, admire all of your amazing chocolate masterpieces which you'll be able to recreate time and time again.

What you'll get in your craft kit
  • 250g South Pacific Cacao 60% dark chocolate (for ganache)
  • 250g South Pacific Cacao 60% dark chocolate (for decor)
  • Digital thermometer
  • Bubble wrap
  • 24-carat gold leaf
  • Chocolate transfer sheet
  • Cake board
What you'll need
  • A cake that you have previously prepared with a recipe from Jess, your own recipe or one you have purchased
  • 300ml of thickened or pouring cream
  • Bread knife (serrated edge)
  • Small sharp pointy knife (straight)
  • Heatproof bowl (ideally stainless, pyrex glass will work too)
  • Spatula
  • 20cm saucepan (to be used to bain-marie)
  • 30cm ruler
  • Teaspoon
  • Desert spoon
  • Butter knife
  • Baking paper (1m)
