Book Binding
Tunnel Books have been around since Victorian times and were inspired by theater set models. They were also known as 'peep shows.'
In this workshop we update the tunnel book, using beautiful vividly coloured papers to create a perfect way to treasure your special occasions and build beautiful settings that make your photos, collages and drawings "pop."
In this workshop you will learn how to construct a concertina paper book and play with images to create a sense of depth and perspective. You can mount your 'tunnel book' in a recessed frame or keep it in a book form.
If you have been making collages or journaling this fun and easy bookbinding method will elevate your work to the next level.

Knowledge required
None, these tunnel books look complex but once you know how to make them they are very easy to produce. Perfect for a beginner or someone who want to try a new technique in their journaling projects.

All the materials and tools needed to make a simple tunnel book in the class
There will be fun images provided for you to work with but if you want to bring your own photos please do!

I have had the best life ever, following my passions. I have worked as a script editor and writer and been a course leader and senior lecturer in the UK in film and TV and before that I was an illustrator and artist.
For the last 5 years have become increasingly interested in informal learning. I run classes around Sydney in different venues and concentrate on my passion of growing succulents, art and the art of teaching. I go by the name classbunny.
