What you'll do

In this three-hour pottery class in Newport, you will learn how to make your very own three-piece breakfast set out of clay! Choose between a bowl, mug, plate, glass or cup---the idea is that you create your three favourite pieces that you will use the most.

We provide food-safe and microwave-safe clay as well as all materials and firings. We also glaze your pieces for you with our white glaze, ensuring your finished pieces are fully functional. After the class, we'll glaze and fire your pieces and they'll be ready for pick up in 4-6 weeks.

This clay workshop is a practical introduction to the world of pottery and a fun way to add some handmade dishes to your home.

What you'll get

3-hour pottery class.
All materials to create fantastic dinnerware (stoneware clay, glaze and firings).
3 pieces of dinnerware (you can pick your favourite one) + 20$ for an additional piece.
We glaze your pieces with our clear matte or glossy studio glaze.
Aprons to wear for the class.

What to bring

We provide aprons but we recommend coming to the class with comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting muddy. Also, please leave any valuable jewellery at home.

Nuna terra means the soul of the earth. It is said that we come to this world to remember who we are, why we came, and above all, to learn that we come to this world to be happy.

Nuna Terra was born from a dream and a journey to leave a footprint on this world and sow a seed so that the following generations can see the fruits.

We want to share the therapeutic benefits of working with clay, slowing our life to be in the present. Pottery brings many physical-emotional and well-being into your life. Clay is a medium of self-expression and healing, when we are creating, we are directly connecting to ourselves, making tangible representations of our emotions and feelings.

Nuna Terra is not only a conventional studio that teaches pottery classes and sells products online. We are an artistic and healing movement where we want to share, in addition to ancestral techniques and tradition in ceramics, share healing tools through art, therapy, yoga, singing, body movement, etc.

We come to share, teach and heal in community; we believe that in community, we weave the fabric that gives us strength and sustains and holds us to continue walking this life path.
