Join Heather for an introductory workshop in loom weaving.
Ideal for complete beginners or intermediate weavers, that would like to refresh or extend their knowledge.
You will be guided through the basics of weaving a small scale tapestry using fibres on offer to create a textured weaving in a colour palette of your design. Ideal to use as a wall hanging.
What you'll learn:
  • How to warp up your timber loom.
  • Become familiar with weaving terms and tools.
  • Learn Weaving techniques and knots including Tabby Weave, Rya Knots, Soumak to begin.
  • How to remove your weaving from the loom ready to hang.
By the end of this workshop you will have:
  • Learned the basics of weaving techniques.
  • Crafted your own unique Bespoke Weaving (complete or near completion).
  • Skills to finish your weave or get going on another one!

EVAH also offers fun group experiences, including Clay & Rosé and Sip & Paint.
