If you're looking for a weaving class on the NSW Central Coast, this workshop may be exactly what you need. Learn how to weave on a wooden loom, take in the tranquil surroundings of Bouddi National Park, and relax while crafting your own unique Bespoke Weaving.
If you're an intermediate weaver or someone who's completely new to the craft, don't worry - this introductory workshop is perfect for you. Heather will patiently guide you through the basics of weaving, unravel weaving terminology, and show you how to create a textured weaving in the colour palette of your choice.
You'll start with the fundamentals of warping up your timber loom, become accustomed to weaving tools and terms, and learn an array of techniques and knots including Tabby Weave, Rya Knots, and Soumak. And don't worry if you're intimidated by the jargon - Heather promises it's nowhere near as complicated as it might seem.
At the end of the workshop, you'll leave with a sense of accomplishment having made a unique Bespoke Weaving (complete or nearly complete) and the skills to start another one. You will also know how to remove the weaving from the loom and display it in all its glory.
Take a break from your daily routine and indulge in this unique creative activity. You'll leave relaxed and fulfilled, itching to find your next weaving project.
