Lebanese Cooking Class: Learn How to Cook Fish

Discover how to cook fish to perfection at this Sydney workshop

3.5 hours Class size 10 to 20 guests     $250

When you visit the city of Tripoli in Lebanon, eating Samke Harra (spicy Tahini fish) is a must. This renowned dish is traditionally eaten as street food in Tripoli, rolled up in fresh Lebanese bread dripping in a tangy tahini sauce.
At home, we would eat it accompanied by its hero, a golden, caramelised rice, decorated in nuts and fried fish.
In this hands-on cooking class, we'll take you on a journey through your teacher Sivine's hometown of Tripoli and the iconic dishes she remembers eating growing up. As well as a delicious fish main, you'll also learn how to prepare Sivine's mother's zesty eggplant salad, tabbouleh and battata harra (spicy coriander potatoes)!
After making this delicious fried fish meal and these wonderful accompaniments, you'll get to sit down and enjoy a vibrant summer menu with your fellow classmates.
Come on a journey into our kitchen and immerse yourself in an afternoon rich in family history and culture, as we prepare together a collection of dishes just as we would growing up.
Perfect for team building activities or even just a casual get together with friends, discover the power of food and the passion and love behind it at this memorable cooking class!

Sunday Kitchen was born out of a love for cooking, delighting and the desire to share that joy with others. It is a tribute to the heart warming lunches mum would prepare on the weekend when we were young. The kitchen was a peaceful place in our home growing up, a place to dance, share and unwind, a place to cook from your heart and prepare dishes, laced with heritage and tradition.
Come on a journey into our kitchen and immerse yourself in an afternoon rich in family history and culture, as we prepare together a collection of dishes just as we would growing up.
A celebration of food, storytelling, cooking, and sharing.
