We all know your dog is already the coolest on the block, let the rest of the world know it as well when you take them out on the town with a two-toned leather lead you plaited yourself. As a bonus, you will also make a matching pouch that will attach to the lead so you'll never be stuck with a log and no bag while on your walkies.
In this all-day workshop, you will learn how to do a traditional 4-strand round braid that you will be able to use to make everything from keyfobs to horse tack. After a delicious lunch and coffee, you will learn to make the matching pouch. You will learn to mark out, cut, and then lace it together so it is ready to be filled with treats or bags for your next adventure.
Aram has over 40 years of experience working with leather and loves passing on his knowledge to others to continue this traditional craft.
All materials and lunch provided. Please note furry friends are not able to attend this session, but we would love to see photos!

The Old Auction House is an independently run multi-use arts precinct located in the regional Victorian town of Kyneton, just an hour north of Melbourne. Housed in a historic weatherboard building, which served as the much loved Ferris auction rooms for over 80 years, the precinct opened in April 2017 and is home to a variety of artistic spaces.
The Old Auction House is currently home to a retail shop specialising in quality Australian handmade items, four working artist studios including local glass artists Leadlight By Ettore, a teaching space for visiting artists, and two gallery spaces with rotating exhibitions.
The Old Auction House is open 7 days and the entire space has been renovated to be accessible for those with prams, wheelchairs, and mobility issues.
The Old Auction House has a focus on community engagement in the arts. Each studio runs a variety of classes with different artists and materials throughout the year.
