Laughter is a powerful tool that improves holistic health and wellbeing. If you're looking for things to do at home, learning about the many benefits of laughter will benefit both your body and spirit.
Laughter reduces stress, boosts mood and enhances feelings of wellbeing. This practical laughter wellness class provides a safe space where you can come together with others, in a group, to experience unconditional laughter and positive energy.
If we rely on external circumstances to "make us feel good, " we are at the mercy of our conditions. Through the tools shared in laughter wellness, we are able to elevate our state from the inside out and have power over the way we feel. This is empowering!
This laughter wellness online class will involve:
  • An introductory presentation to provide context and help you get the most out of your experience.
  • A laughter workout, which alternates between interactive clapping, breathing, affirming and laughter exercises, designed to create positive energy.
  • A laughter meditation, which is an opportunity for free flow laughter.
  • A guided relaxation, to ground the energy of laughter and bring the body into a state of balance.
  • A wrap-up, where group members will be invited to share any ideas and insights about their experience with the group.

Knowledge required
Beginner-friendly class. You will receive all the knowledge you will need, to help you to get the most out of this experience.
 
What to bring
  • A phone or laptop as this workshop will be facilitated online through Zoom. The zoom room will open 10 minutes before the workshop start time, to allow group members to register, ready for a prompt start.
  • Please wear comfortable clothes that feel good to move around in.
  • You may like to start the session seated, then have plenty of room to transition between standing, seated and (optional) laying down exercises.
  • You may like to have a bottle of water handy.

Connie discovered the health benefits of laughter, after a prolonged period of work related stress, which impacted her ability to heal from an injury. She noticed the link between mind and body, stress levels and pain levels.
