On the search for unique art forms or relaxing things to do at home? Join Rehana Usman at this online class and discover how to make a gorgeous Indonesian Batik!
Indonesian batik has been titled as the Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. Your teacher, Rehana, has spent months at the National Batik Museum Jakarta to learn this beautiful art.
Batik pieces are highly priced due to their intricacy. It may sound challenging, but you'll be guided by Rehana step-by-step to finish your very own batik scarf or table runner. You'll learn to make beeswax resist method textile print through a combination of pre-recorded and zoom sessions.
After trying out this unique textile art you'll be very tempted to make another, as the results are very rewarding and the craft itself is such a mindful and relaxing activity.
These sessions are great for virtual team building activities, birthday parties, friends to unwind together or for anyone looking for a unique new skill.
