My passion is supporting writers on their journey to publication.
I've been teaching creative writing for two decades at writer’s centres, community colleges, universities (UTS, WSU) and writer’s festivals in Australia and Asia.
The thing that distinguishes me from other writing teachers is a technique I've developed called Meditative Writing. Using guided sense visualisations I take writers deep into their creative source. The workshops produce startling results and over the years a number of writers working with me have gone on to publish with major publishing houses.
For my own work I have been awarded a number of grants and fellowships and have written plays, musicals, screenplays, a novel, a collection of stories and poems, and three CDs of songs. With a Master of Arts in Cultural and Creative Practice (WSU) I am dedicated to nurturing the unique attributes of each writer I work with.
Based in Sydney, Australia, I also lead writing journeys to international locations. From 2014 - 2020 we have travelled to Bali, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan, Japan, Fiji, Paris and Morocco.
