Make learning how to hand sew a fun experience for the kids by letting them create their own Squishmallow-inspired plush toy! This workshop will be great fun for girls and boys too!
Let their creativity run wild as they explore working with felt and the capabilities of using a needle and thread. Each child will get to customise their toy designs, stitch it together, and fill it with toy stuffing. We have patterns for them to follow, or they can come up with their own characters. They will be making at least 2 designs. They could even create that hard-to-find Squishmallow or the one they really want. They will create their very own, unique Squishmallow-inspired softies to take home.
This workshop is suitable for ages 8 years old and up, and for complete beginners or those with some hand sewing experience.

Central train station is a short bus ride away or a good 20 minute walk. There is free street parking but some of it is timed.

Your teacher can also travel within 30 kms of Chippendale, to a venue of your choice for a private class

Classes teach a range of skills that are related to design, art and craft. We are also an open workshop space and drop-in sewing studio for Designers, Artists, Makers and Creatives. Our workshop is located on the edge of the city in Chippendale.
