Kids and Teens Hand Sewing Workshop - Monster Toys

Make learning how to hand sew a fun experience for the kids by letting them create their own little softie toy monsters! This workshop will be great fun for girls and boys too! Let their creativity run wild as they explore fabrics and the capabilities of using a needle and thread. Each child will get to customize their toy design, stitch it together, and fill it with toy stuffing. They will create their very own unique monster softie to take home.To practice their sewing skills they will get to choose more sewing projects on the day. They could sew a wallet, keyring, brooch, more toys or come up with their own design! We will be using a range of fun fabrics and getting creative upcycling fabric scraps, buttons and trims.This workshop is suitable for ages 8 years old and up and for complete beginners or those with some hand sewing experience.This workshop is eligible for the Creative Kids Voucher. We are a registered provider. The Creative Kids Voucher will be redeemed and refunded to you after the class has commenced.About Catherine CarterCatherine has been sewing as far back as she can remember. She graduated with honors at East Sydney Technical College, Darlinghurst, with a diploma in "Fashion Design." She established (many years ago) and is still running a successful business, "Catherine Carter, " specialising in made-to-measure garments. She is still as passionate as ever. Catherine enjoys sharing her enthusiasm, knowledge, and creativity and finds it extremely rewarding to see the progress that each person makes.
