We all know how delicious Japanese food can be, but did you know Japan also has a rich street food culture? It might be lesser known than its Asian neighbours, but Yattais (small food stalls) can be found at festivals and dotted along city streets during the warmer months.
In this class, Daniel Wilson, executive chef at Yakimono Restaurant, will lead you through some of Japan’s street food classics like karaage chicken with yuzu mayo, pork and ginger gyoza, prawn and cabbage okonomiyaki with bonito flakes and aonori, and everyone’s favourite, miso ora king salmon with sesame spinach and pickled cucumber. All paired with sake.
By the end of the class, sit back and enjoy the delicious food you've made!
Whether you're looking for date ideas or hens party ideas, come along to our Japanese street food cooking class today!

Chef Tracey is a classically trained chef who after many years of working at senior level in the vibrant Melbourne restaurant scene moved to Hanoi to immerse herself in Vietnamese and Asian cuisine. She helped establish KOTO, a grass-roots charity that helps street kids to free themselves from the cycle of poverty through hospitality training.
In April 2008 she opened the Hanoi Cooking Centre, voted one of the best cooking schools in the world by Leisure & Travel magazine.
Now back in her old stamping ground of Brunswick, Tracey looks forward to sharing her love of good food through her cooking classes for keen home cooks, professionals, corporates, kids and teens.
And if you don’t have time to cook call in at Brunswick Kitchen for a chat and a take-home meal.
