Embark on a sensorial experience full of aroma in this Japanese street food cooking class.
In this hands-on class perfect for beginners, our Japanese chef will take you through a cultural and culinary experience like no other. Learn how to prepare popular street food like Okonomiyaki, savoury pancakes filled with meats and vegetables of your choice, Yakitori Chargrilled Chicken Skewers dipped in salty or sweet sauces, and make authentic Teriyaki Sauce.
At the end of the class, you will enjoy your mouth-watering creations and live the full Japanese street food experience. Leave this workshop with brand-new knowledge and the know-how to keep enjoying these traditional dishes at home.
Enjoy your creations alongside a Japanese beer! Chef Kentaro has a career in the hospitality industry spanning 20 years, during which he has worked in both Japan and high-end restaurants in Sydney. He is passionate about quality ingredients and well-presented meals and hopes to share his love and pride of Japanese cooking with the home cook during his engaging and hands-on cooking classes.
Please note: Sydney Cooking School (SCS) reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a class for reasons concerning SCS. If a class has been cancelled due to low attendance, sickness or any other matter regarding SCS, all students will be notified within 48 hours of the class commencement date, and the option to reschedule to another date, or full refunds provided.

Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 13 years old).

An adult must accompany any attending kids, and must pay for a separate ticket.

Sydney Cooking School opened in 2010 when Executive Chef Brett Deverall pursued his dream to share his love andpassion of cooking in a fun and relaxed learning environment. We have a variety of themed menus and packages available, and our formats are suitable to anyone, from the absolute beginner to the more passionate cook. As well as our regularly scheduled classes, we offer masterclasses in Pastry, Chicken & Duck and Pork & Cider, as well as Children’s School Holiday classes.
