During the class, Vivian will guide you through the process of making beautiful clover flowers that never lose their bloom. You'll learn the art of fabric petal shaping and twisting, as well as the special technique of fabric treatment with a resin glue. Vivian will also share her expertise on the application of fabric flowers in haute couture and home decoration, giving you a glimpse into the world of high-end fashion.
Don't worry if you're new to jewellery making, this workshop is designed for beginners and Vivian will provide all the materials you need on the day. You'll have the option to create a stunning bracelet, earrings, or necklace, all made by your own hands.

Your teacher


Vivian Qiu is a sentimental jewellery designer. She holds a Bachelor (Honours) degree in Fashion Design in RMIT. Her jewellery practice focuses on reflective designing based on emotions, stories, and memories.
She explores a variety of non-traditional materials in her practice, including rice fabric created by herself, recycled electrical wires, treated fabric and so on.
Vivian has been running creative hands-on workshops since 2015. She has worked with Signal, City of Melbourne, Geelong Wool Museum, and Immigration Museum.
Her Sentimental Rice Jewellery project has been selected as part of the Melbourne Fashion Festival and Melbourne Design Week 2021.
