Introductory Wheel Throwing Workshop for Beginners (2.5 Hrs)

Learn how to use the pottery wheel and make your own ceramic art. Smaller groups and lots of time to practice!

Limited to 8 participants, our classes are smaller than most. Plus, we offer the additional value of a 2.5 hour length class where you will be taught the foundation skills needed to make functional vessels on the wheel.
This workshop is fun, informative, and experiential. You will get lots of personalised tuition and a chance to experience the relaxing power of clay in your hands.
This introductory workshop is a fantastic stand-alone experience as well as a way to explore your interest in a longer course
Book solo or book in as a group! Private classes are available on request.
Important Information:
  • Works created during the class will need to be dried, fired and glazed, with pick-up available 3-4 weeks later. We do not limit the number of pieces you make in the class!
  • No-shows will not be refunded. As we are a not for profit, any transfer of classes are permitted within 7 days and will incur a $10 fee to cover admin staff time.
All profits from workshops held at Little Woods go towards helping fund the programs of Jesuit Social Services.
We are an accredited NDIS provider.

What to bring
  • Please bring a towel and an apron or appropriate clothing you don't mind getting dirty
  • Wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes.
  • Please remove jewellery that might get clogged up with clay or in your way!
Suitable for

This class is great for individuals and couples as well as for a date idea, team building activity, Christmas party or hens party.

Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 16 years old).

An adult must accompany any attending kids, and must pay for a separate ticket.

This experience would also be a fun gift for her, gift for mum or gift for couples.
