Learn all about embroidery and how to stitch your own textures and patterns in this relaxing afternoon class.
Led by Turkey-based fibre artist Irem Yazici, this workshop will cover all of the fundamentals of embroidery including how to choose the right fabric and thread, and embroidery techniques like needle painting and french knots. This class is all about experimentation and learning how to bring different fibre materials like beads, pom poms and sequins into your embroidered artwork.
At the end of the class you will have created your own embellished galaxy illustration to take home with you. As well as the skills to pursue a mindful embroidery practice in your own time.
All materials will be provided on the day and well as delicious snacks and drinks.
