2 hours 15 mins Class size 1 to 50 guests     $30

This online art class is suitable for beginners or those with watercolour experience wanting to improve their skills.
Painting at home is a great night in! Invite some friends to your home, pour some wine, have some nibbles and giggles and enjoy the process of creating a beautiful watercolour bird at home.
I will take you through the basic steps of drawing a bird if you'd like as it can be frustrating to try this as a beginner artist but the main focus of this class is on watercolour techniques so tracing is welcome!
The workshop will begin with a quick teaching of the watercolour techniques that we will be using in this session before moving on to the next steps of drawing and then painting your bird.
We will work on one image together, and then I will encourage and welcome you all to explore and work independently (with my assistance if required) from an image of a bird of your choosing.
Watercolour can be such a calming medium that brings peace to the mind as you watch the colours flow together across your page.

Little Monkee Moos has been around since 2013. We are an art school that has been teaching art to school aged children for over a decade. We also run regular workshops for adults and a bunch of school holiday workshops.
Myself and my staff also sell a lot of our own work and receive regular commissions.
At Little Monkee Moos we teach all the skills, techniques and foundations required to create beautiful art. We cover all mediums and all styles/genres.
We encourage students to discover and embrace their own style rather than following what teachers or other students style may be. we also encourage freedom to express themselves on paper and in class. We like students to feel relaxed, happy and comfortable when in class as it creates an atmosphere that children enjoy learning in.
In our ongoing term classes we typically focus on one topic which we continue to expand on during the term. Generally, but not always, the different term topics will overlap and are subjects under the main yearly topic. Eg if our year is looking at street art then each term will be spent playing with different street art styles, mediums and street artists. Another example is if we are doing animals over they year then each term we would look at drawing different animals including different textured skin/ fur/ scales etc
We love exhibitions at the end of the year or working towards local art competitions. The first few weeks of each year is dedicated to portraits and creating pieces for the Young Archibolds held at Sydney Art Gallery each year
Our school workshops are usually one off sessions but occasionally we run workshops that run over a couple of days.
Adult workshops are always a one off session and range from beginners to intermediates.
