What you'll do

Unleash your creativity in our one-hour Handmade Plate Workshop at our vibrant Melbourne studio! Perfect for beginners, this fun and relaxing class invites you to explore the art of hand-building pottery from scratch.

Under the guidance of an expert instructor trained in the renowned ceramic town of Jingdezhen, China, you’ll learn fundamental hand-building and decoration techniques. From there, dive into shaping your own ceramic creations—be it a special 2025 plate. Add your personal touch with charming details—your imagination is the limit!

Once your piece is complete, choose a favourite glaze colour, and we’ll take care of firing it in our kiln. Your masterpiece will be ready for pick-up within three to four weeks, perfect for brightening your home or gifting to a loved one.

Pick-Up Reminder:

Creations can be picked up within four months of the workshop. After this period, any unclaimed items will be donated to charity, so don’t forget to collect your artwork!

Our venue is a short 200-metre walk from the Ayr St/Middleborough Rd bus station. Free parking is available at Spotlight Box Hill, just 40 metres away. Please avoid parking at Parkview, 29-31 Clarice Road, as it will be closed. Use the Spotlight parking lot or park on the roadside instead. Thank you for your understanding!
