Looking for fun things to do in Canberra? Join this chocolate making workshop with Tannah, our expert chocolatier who has over nine years of experience in pastry and chocolate.
In this 1.5-hour workshop, we're going to teach you the science behind tempering chocolate before you get to jump straight in and give it a go!
Once your chocolate is perfectly tempered, we get to the fun part----learning how to hand dip chocolates and decorate.
In the end, you'll get to take home a box full of your dipped chocolates to enjoy and a workbook with what you've learned.
You'll be working in pairs in this workshop so it is the perfect activity to book with a friend or partner. But feel free to book solo and use it as an opportunity to meet new people!
This is a great class for beginners and we will teach you all you need to know - just bring an enthusiasm to learn!

  • An apron to wear during class to keep your clothes clean

  • Any snacks or other drinks you may like during class
  • Layers, sometimes the venue can be cold but ensure long sleeves are able to be rolled up

Hi! I'm Tannah, the owner and chocolatier behind Studio Cocoa. I'm a qualified pastry chef with more than seven years of industry experience. I've trained with world-renowned chocolatiers and pastry chefs and have been running Studio Cocoa full time for three years.
When selling my chocolates in-person, I always get asked "how on earth do you make these?". It's this simple question that inspired me to teach beginners the art of chocolate tempering, helping them make their own incredible creations.
Sharing the joy of chocolate is what motivated me to open my Studio Cocoa and is the most rewarding part of every class. Join me for a chocolate-making workshop where I'll teach you everything you need to know, sharing my many years of experience in both chocolate-making and patisserie.
Studio Cocoa uses ethically and sustainably-sourced ingredients, ensuring cocoa farmers receive a fair and liveable wage. Our chocolates are made by hand in small batches in our Canberra kitchen and packed in Australian-made packaging.
