Hand Building Clay and Woodworking Class

Make a hanging timber planter and clay pot in Melbourne!

5 hours Class size 1 to 6 guests

$160 (Afterpay available)

Join us in Melbourne for an engaging workshop where you'll explore a blend of two fascinating crafts - ceramics and woodworking.
In this collaborative workshop, you'll have the opportunity to learn from two talented teachers who will guide you through the process of creating beautiful handmade pieces. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced DIYer, this workshop is perfect for you.
Under the guidance of Elnaz, you'll get your hands dirty as you hand make a pot and plate out of clay. With Anj's expertise, you'll learn joinery skills and how to use power tools to make a timber planter (recycled or sustainably sourced).
You will have the option to customise your creations by adding coloured clay beads and timber beads to your planter. You will also get to choose your own glaze colour and it will be fired after the workshop.
Please note:
  • You will receive an email when the firing is completed, typically three weeks.
  • As this is the first workshop we are running we would love your feedback at the end.
We acknowledge that these workshops are taking place on the stolen lands of the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to elders past and present and acknowledge that this land was never ceded. It always was and always will be Aboriginal land.

Hey Anj here from Hasmmertime. I am a chippy and qualified teacher and love getting people confident on the tools.
I'm a carpenter by trade and have taught furniture making for 6 years. I have been a woodworker for 8 years and is running my own business (Hammertime Handy Services) and taught at many workshops around Narrm/Melbourne. I am passionate about sharing my skills and working with recycled and upcycled timbers.
I enjoy working in partnership with people to help them solve problems in their home and garden. I will workshop creative solutions with you and love meeting face to face to help guide you through the process.
