Janani Beadle, the visionary founder of the Indian Dance School (IDS) and Get Fit Janani (GFJ), has dedicated her career to nurturing a love for dance, fitness, and cultural enrichment. With over 30 years of diverse dance experience and 25 years of teaching, Janani's journey began a background in Business Accounting. Her dance repertoire includes Bharatha Natyam, Bollywood, Jazz, Tap, and Ballet, which she has mastered since 1990. This extensive training has shaped her into a specialised dancer and instructor, enabling her to inspire and educate her students.
Janani's expertise has led to prominent roles in the dance community. She has adjudicated auditions for notable events like the United India Association (Sydney) and has judged Dance Eisteddfods across New South Wales. Her choreography work includes notable projects such as Bollywood Babies Proms at the Sydney Opera House and Bollywood segments for the Australian film “UNINDIAN, ” directed by Anupam Sharma. Her dance routines have also been featured on ABC Kids' Playschool Window Segment and The Wiggles' Emma Series.
Janani transformed her passion for dance into a thriving fitness career, becoming a certified Zumba instructor in 2010. Recognising a growing need for engaging and culturally diverse fitness experiences, she founded GFJ—a dance-based workout program blending popular Indian and Western music. Her classes are designed to be inclusive and empowering, welcoming participants from all backgrounds to move, sweat, and celebrate fitness through dance.
Janani's fitness videos have gained global recognition on social media, inspiring audiences worldwide. Her impact has led to invitations to teach in Chennai, India, and to speak at prestigious events such as Brown Boss Babes IWD and Tamil Women’s Development Group (TWDG).
Through her unwavering commitment, Janani has inspired countless individuals, shared her cultural heritage, and promoted a healthy, active lifestyle. Her work continues to make a positive impact on her community and beyond.
