Take a deep dive into the multi-stepped process of wheel thrown pottery in this five week course!
From raw clay to refined functional ceramics; Maddison will guide you each step of the way with clear and engaging instructions.
You will learn:
  • Pottery basics
  • Wheel throwing (slip, centering & shaping)
  • Trimming/turning
  • Glazing and the firing process
  • OH&S and studio safety
This is a beginner-friendly course, with no previous experience necessary but does also cater for intermediate students who have worked with clay before either through hand building or on the wheel to help expand their practice and have access to wheels, firing and glaze facilities.
A beautiful way to learn something new, take time out to slow down and potter around!
Small class sizes of 1-3 ensure ample attention and time is given to every student in support of diverse learning styles and needs.
