What you'll do
Join our family blacksmithing class in Sydney for an adult and child!The ticket price is for two people working together as a team: One adult over 18 years old and one child from 10-18 years old.This family workshop is a great way to put those screens away for a few hours and experience how it was to be a blacksmith in the olden days but with a few more modern tools.In this class, you will experience shaping steel with a hammer and fire, as well as learn a bit about the forge, anvil, tools, and techniques used in blacksmithing.Both of you will heat up steel in a forge and hammer it into your project, helping each other to hammer, twist and hold the steel. Perfect for beginners, your instructor will show each step as you go along and help whenever needed.The two of you will pair up on one anvil and complete your project, where by the end of the class, you each take home a forged item at the end of the day.For your forged project, you can choose between a:

No prior skills or experience required other than general fitness enough to lift a light hammer above your head for a minute or two at the time for the forging time of max two hours.This is very beginner-friendly and we are there to help if needed.
