Exploding in popularity, Jesmonite or eco-resin has become a go-to material for creating homeware pieces in under 30 minutes. Learn how to create your own terrazzo and swirling techniques for your vase and trinkets in this fun and exciting workshop in Fitzroy, Melbourne.
Over two hours of casting fun, you'll learn the basics of what Jesmonite is, how to make terrazzo chips, how to create a marbled effect, and casting with Jesmonite.
The best part is Jesmonite cures in just 30 minutes, so you can bring home what you produced straight after the workshop - the ultimate instant gratification!
Class outline:
  • Design your colour palette
  • Learn how to mix and add pigment to Jesmonite
  • Learn how to cast into a silicone mould
  • Learn various techniques to colour your eco-resin
  • Sand and seal your creations for a polished look
By the end of the workshop, you will take home three items - either a vase or trinket. Have fun and get creative.
Please note:
Jesmonite is considered safe, does not emit toxic fumes or VOCs, and there are no documented health risks associated with Jesmonite. However, we recommend pregnant women check with their healthcare professional before working with any chemicals.
A variety of trinket moulds (oval or shell) and coasters (round, square, hexagon) are available. We also have a huge range of moulds, so students have creative freedom to make a mini vase or jewellery box instead too.
A wide range of pigments, gold leaf/flakes, and premade terrazzo will also be available.
We may also test out other brands of eco-resin and pigments, with one of the new favourites being an Australian brand of eco-resin called Brambliers.
