What you'll do
Looking for unique indoor activities in Parramatta? Keep your hands busy and start making clothes with your own unique style and flair at this interactive dressmaking course! Over eight weeks, beginners will make a skirt and learn how to purchase a pattern, choose fabrics and make the garment. The tutor will advise about patterns and fabrics on the first night. Continuing students work at their own pace with full support and guidance. We will not be stretch sewing in this course. At the end of this eight-week course, you'll have your own unique garment to wear and admire and the confidence to continue creating with textiles and fabrics!Please note: If the class numbers are too low to run, then classes may be cancelled by The Parramatta College - thank you for understanding.

Your teacher
Parramatta Community College has been at the forefront of community education in the region since 1986. We are for social purpose (not-for-profit), a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 90276), and a member of Community Colleges Australia. We focus not only on quality education for all, but also on ensuring that our training is accessible. We educate for life. This means we provide adult education opportunities that includes developing personal interests, through to upskilling or reskilling for work and career. The College also provides part or fully funded training for community members that may be facing barriers to training.
