Alex
Alex teaches our after-school teen classes, life drawing and our adult beginners and intermediate drawing classes. In 2013, Alex completed a Bachelor of Fine Art at RMIT University, and has since continued her artistic exploration, completing short courses in silversmithing, blacksmithing, glassblowing, pottery, and iconographic painting.
Currently, Alex is studying her masters of secondary teaching at the University of Melbourne, and is committed to learning about how to best support students in the creative classroom and create a positive learning environment.Alex has a background in realistic drawing, but in her art practice transfers these skills to a more surrealist style of work - currently working on an iconographic body of work that combines themes of tradition and religion with futurism and modern technology.Alex has an incredible attention to detail and a thoughtful approach to creating and teaching her lessons. When planning her classes, she carefully considers the individual interests and needs of each student, creating lessons that are both engaging and educational. Alex's calm and friendly demeanour resonates deeply with our students, with members of her class returning term after term!Join our waitlist
