What you'll do
Learn how to make your own natural perfume at this aromatic Sydney class. You won’t have to pay for overly priced perfumes anymore, as you will leave with six naturally fragrant products!
This class is suitable for everyone, from total beginners to budding perfumers, as you will learn all the basics to make beautiful perfume blends. The class will cover essential oils, the differences between synthetic and natural fragrances, skin reactions, beginners blending techniques, creating perfume using the pyramid model, fragrance families, and the rules of mixing and blending.The class will start with an introduction to DIY perfume and then move on to sampling up to 30 essential oils in order to create your own formula for bath salts. Once you feel more confident in achieving the right combination of single oils or blends, you will craft your way up to creating an Eau de Toilette formula and executing this to make the product.At the end of the workshop you will have the skills to try out dozens of recipes at home and will also take home four naturally fragrant products. All materials will be provided.Â- Eau de toilette

Please note: If you have a particular natural oil or essential oil you wish to use, please bring it along. Sonia will bring a selection of natural fragrances to work with but is aware that there are hundreds and cannot provide for every preference. So if you have a special one please bring it!

I love working with botanical products. As an Aromatherapist and Herbalist, I am constantly inspired by the potential Nature offers us by way of complex medicinal and aromatic constituents. We can use these for healing, wellbeing and beauty. I have been making skincare since 1998 as I was not happy with the chemical additives in products bought off the shelf. My artisan products have been sold through my aromatherapy clinic along with herbal remedies, teas and elixirs. Today, as a mother of three, I have focused on creating toxin free, natural perfumes and aromatherapy-based skin oils with a view to providing safer alternatives to commonly used body products. I have created naturally fragranced products for Mucota brand (Korea) and BeMe Fragrances (Australia).
