Take your DIY skills to the next level with this hands-on workshop at CoCraft in Heidelberg Heights! In this engaging two-part series, you’ll gain valuable skills needed to tackle a variety of projects around your home confidently and safely in a small group environment (maximum of four students).
Let the experts guide you through the basics of using common hand and power tools, providing you with the opportunity to try them out yourself. Learn the essential tools to obtain when setting up a small home workshop and get tips on your actual projects from our experts. This class will set you up for success so you can DIY safely and with confidence!
During the first session, you'll delve into drilling and cutting fundamentals over two and a half hours:
  • First hour: Learn about correct drilling and screwing techniques, including using drills, impact drivers, drill press, and more.
  • Second hour: Explore cutting and grinding with tools such as drop saw, band saw, hand saw, and angle grinder on metal.
In the second session, you’ll dive into sanding and finishing essentials:
  • First hour: Explore different finishes and coatings, such as water-based, oil-based, polyurethanes, waxes, and more.
  • Second hour: Master the art of sanding with orbital sanders, belt sanders, and sanding blocks.
