What you'll do
It's the most awaited time of the year. Join us for this hands-on cricut class and learn how to make a truly festive plate!Yes, it's Christmas! And we all want Santa to stop by our place. For that reason, we go above and beyond in our ways of inviting him with fancy decorations and yummy food. Our very own Christmas Eve plate has a place for cookies, his favourite drink, and also a carrot for reindeer. You may have brought such a plate from shops all your life but have you ever known that you could make one all by yourself? It's not as difficult to make a Christmas Eve plate with your personalised family name as it may seem at the outset. In this workshop, Vishakha will generously share her Cricut Maker 3 to make vinyl designs and labels and work with you very closely to help you make your special Santa plate. Class outline:
- Understand the material; permanent glossy adhesive vinyl of various colours, transfer tape, weeding tools etc
- Personalize Santa Plate SVG with your family names in Cricut Design Space
- How to work with layering to cut different coloured vinyls
- Print and cut vinyls labels using Cricut Maker 3
- Weed and transfer your labels to Transfer tape to make them ready for sticking on the plate
- How to stick vinyl labels layer by layer to complete sticking the design on the plate

I have always had that intuitive urge to 'create' something with a purpose: a new vegetarian recipe, a cake that would still be calorie-friendly, a soap that would nourish my skin with essential oils, a paining that would tell a story of my childhood, a candle that would smell divine?By day, I'm fully immersed in the world of ICT (Information & Communications Technology), helping product teams develop outstanding software applications that enhance user experiences. But during my evenings and occasional weekends, I find immense joy in hosting craft workshop experiences at my charming apartment in Sydney or setting up a picnic for you to celebrate your special occasion in style with my cutie vintage retro caravan somewhere in the Kangaroo Valley or Blue Mountains :) It's my way of pursuing my passions (thank God I found a way), do what I love (or else no point yea), exercise my entrepreneurial skills (or at least I would think so), stay emotionally healthy (this one is real), meet new people (when Sydney reportedly is world's 3rd worst city to forge new friendships), and do my bit of raising funds for Dementia and promoting mental health. For I believe the new luxuries are truly the experiences, freedom and health. In my journey of hosting these unique experiences in Sydney together with my partner Bob, we have come across a range of creative people, many of whom discovered things to be a fun hobby and some who have taken it further and started selling stuff online.
