It doesn’t matter if you've never done a fluid painting before. Lucia will guide you with passion. You’ll learn how to make colourful fluid art from scratch. You’ll be feeling so proud that you’ve created this original pattern discovered by Lucia using gorgeous colours and unusual tools that you can find at home.
Our main goal is to make people happy through creative and entertaining art activities, especially now when everyone feels very disconnected. Our art class workshops are designed to inspire, engage, and unite people through the power of art.
During your session:
Lucia, a passionate and professional artist - renowned internationally like Italy, Spain, Dubai, Tokyo, will guide you throughout the session.
This art class is about a special technique to mix and move the paint around the canvas to create stunning abstract designs. You will learn all the tips and tricks for dipping your toe into fluid art. Lucia will do a hands-on demonstration, so you can see step by step how it all comes together.
Before the session:
Please try to be on time so that we can all start on time.
Important:
  • PLAYCARNIVAL is diversity friendly.
  • We also run art therapy sessions for people with PTSD and for aged care centres.
  • Kids 16 - 18 are welcome to join.
Pieces require a minimum of 12 hours to set/cure.
After the session, you might even have found your new favourite hobby. Lucia can't wait to welcome you.
Recommendation:
It's more suitable for kids above 8. Yes, younger kids can try it, but accompanied by an adult.
Note:
We are working on a special fluid art kit to be added as an option to your class.

Knowledge required
Even a beginner can do it, as every step is explained, but it's also for advanced friends who would like to try this unique technique and have some knowledge of fluid art. Trust me, everyone will enjoy!
 
What to bring
Because this is an online course, you will need to get:
  • canvas (the canvas in our livestream is 26x26cm)
  • fluid acrylic paints - (for beginners you can get less expensive paints)
  • (for advanced friends, use acrylic mixed with medium)
  • bamboo sticks
  • straw
  • paper (thicker paper, for example re-use the paper from your unwrapped canvas)
  • cups (or you can pour it straight from the acrylic bottle)
  • old t-shirt (use it as an apron)
