Discover the world of mixed media art and learn how to make a one-of-a-kind collage in Sydney! Collage has so many possibilities and is a great way to create amazing compositions and play around and experiment before you stick an image down.
In this beginner's class, you will discover collage techniques, collect together and compose images from magazines and discarded ephemera and combine with patterned papers and paint to create striking images that can be humorous and cheeky or serious and moody - it's all up to you.
Collages can be figurative or abstract and it is a perfect method of image-making to use in a creative visual journal or to make pieces of art to frame. Collage has been used as a political tool and has a reputation for being subversive but it can also be used to be plain beautiful, think Matisse's giant 'cut-outs'.
Take home your collage along with all the skills to keep creating at home!

I have had the best life ever, following my passions. I have worked as a script editor and writer and been a course leader and senior lecturer in the UK in film and TV and before that I was an illustrator and artist.
For the last 5 years have become increasingly interested in informal learning. I run classes around Sydney in different venues and concentrate on my passion of growing succulents, art and the art of teaching. I go by the name classbunny.
