Paper, scissors, glue and you! Come along (with a friend or two) for a creative collage session, with Brunswick-based visual artist, Maximillian Malone.
Chop, tear and slice through an eclectic mix of vintage books and magazines (from Max’s personal archive) to create your very own, new original artworks.During the two-and-a-half-hour workshop, you’ll remix and reimagine printed pages, exploring a variety of styles and processes, guided by a professional artist who specialises in contemporary collage. Step by step you’ll investigate and learn about every part of the process, from image gathering to cutting techniques, composing and glueing tips.Even if you’re a ‘cut and paste’ regular, or if you haven’t collaged since pre-school, this creative and collaborative workshop is aimed at people of all abilities.
Sticking paper and people together is Max’s mantra, and he looks forward to welcoming you! Please note: This class requires at least five students to run. In the unlikely event that we don't get this number of students, we'll cancel the class and fully refund you and inform you via email, so please watch your email a few days prior to the class. Please note: This venue is located on the first floor via a flight of stairs and does not have wheelchair accessibility.- All materials provided
