Clay Play Deluxe Pottery Class: Make a Vessel or Dish

Beginners wheel throwing pottery class with take home vessel or dish

2.5 hours Class size 1 to 3 guests

  $180 (Afterpay available)

Have you always wanted to try pottery but didn’t know where to start? Well, this is the perfect way to begin! Join our hands-on pottery workshop where you'll learn the ins and outs of basic wheel throwing!
This class is perfect for those wanting to have a play on the wheel and have a handcrafted ceramic vessel or dish to keep at the end! A deluxe version of our Clay Play class, with an extra 30 minutes on the wheel to refine your skills and complete the class with 1-2 of your favourite works to be fired and glazed.
You will first start with a 15-minute introduction to clay and the pottery process, which Maddison will guide you through. Then you will enjoy a 15-minute live demonstration of wheel throwing. 1 hour and 45 minutes guided wheel time will ensue.
In the last 15 minutes, we will tidy up together and close by choosing your favourite work to be finished, fired, and glazed by Maddison at a later date.
Note: Collection of your work will be organised once it is completed - two firings and glazing need to occur, and this can take 3-6 weeks, so please be aware of this when you book the class.
