What you'll do
Clay hand building is a very tactile craft and offers a mindful experience. Join our handbuilding course and you'll also make something you can actually use at home. We use stoneware clays and fire to high temperatures so your finished pottery will be food-safe and microwave, oven and dishwasher-safe!We'll teach you the techniques to allow you to cups, saucers, vases and plates, with your hands and a few basic tools. You'll also be able to do your own glazing and decorating with underglazes.No experience is required and is limited to seven students only. Bring a friend or come on your own and meet some new people.After the four weeks, we'll do the final glaze firing for you so you can collect your pieces two to three weeks later.You must be available on the scheduled days to complete the course. Fees are applicable for makeup classes. A minimum of three participants is required for the course to go ahead.
