($105 per Firing and clear glazing, $130 per Painting class, firing and glazing)

Let's indulge your creative side, get your hands dirty with our earthenware white body clay and create this gorgeous llama pot plant for your succulents in this Sydney class!
In this three-hour class, you will be focusing on basic hand-building pinch potting techniques. These sessions are designed for the beginner so don't worry, no experience is needed and plenty of fun is guaranteed!
Your expert teacher will do a step by step demonstration, while you follow until you have finished and created your own very cute llama pot! These classes are kept small to ensure you receive a more personal experience.
Your pieces will need to dry, so if you would like to paint up your creation with underglaze paints and bring him/her to life then you will need to come back in another session that suits you once the clay has dried (two to three days). If you don't want to return, then we will fire up and clear glaze your piece for you, leaving the clay body all white and shiny.
You can select from two ticket types:
  • Firing and clear glazing (for those who don't wish to return to glaze their pieces themselves, instead we will clear glaze and fire for you)
  • Painting class, firing and glazing (covers the price for you to return to the studio two to three days later to paint your llama pot and then we will fire the piece)
All pieces will need at least three to four weeks for firing and glazing and you can return to pick up your creations from the studio at a later date.

Tennyson Studio is my Ceramic Art and Paint N Sip Studio in Gladesville in Sydney. I took up ceramics and acrylic painting workshops as a hobby back in 1996, did US Ambassadors Ceramics Course with Duncan in 1998 and upon quitting my fulltime job, opened my studio in 2001.
We have been creating and inspiring anyone who has never painted before to unwind, create, and paint for the joy and therapeutic benefits. We are all about enjoying the experience with us especially if you have never painted or worked with ceramics before.
Our Introduction class session is a great way to see if you would like to join us in a course. We also offer kids and adult birthday parties, hens parties, corporate team bonding, school holiday workshops and kids art classes.
