Clay Hand Building Class: Ceramic Breakfast Set

Make your own one-of-a-kind ceramic breakfast set

2.5 hours Class size 4 to 20 guests

$129 - $149 (Afterpay available)
($149 per guest when you book for 4 guests, $139/guest for 5 guests, $129/guest for 6+ guests)

Make your own one-of-a-kind breakfast set made up of a ceramic cup, bowl and plate!
Learn hands-on techniques such as pinching, shaping and moulding to create your own unique cup, bowl and plate set to serve up your breakfast meal (e.g. tea, cereal and toast) in this fun and stress-free workshop. Take some time for yourself, in the tranquil and scenic surrounds of Bundeena, as a form of art therapy.
You'll get to keep your fully functional breakfast set - something to treasure for years or even generations to come!
You'll get to apply your personal touch, such as stamping or engraving patterns as well as choosing a glaze colour. And don't worry, your set will be 100 per cent food safe to enjoy your favourite drink, serve nibbles or use as a decorative piece.
Here are just a few things we'll cover:
  • Overview of different clay types and their uses
  • Hand-building techniques for shaping clay
  • Assembling different clay components
  • How and why are ceramics glazed and fired
At the end of the class, you'll choose colours for your breakfast set, which will stay on-site to dry, be glazed and fired twice. You'll be informed when the pieces are ready for pick-up (alternatively shipping can be arranged for an additional fee).
Make a day of it while you're here - visit one of Bundeena's pristine beaches or do a bush coastal walk.
This class is regularly scheduled on weekends at 10 am via the 'Book' option. If you would like to book on a weekday, please use the 'Request Private Class’ option on this page (under Booking Options).
We are also next door to the Bundeena Community Services Club which offers a full lunch menu with water views should you decide to lunch in Bundeena before or after the class.
