Clay Hand Building 101 Workshop

Learn clay hand building techniques

2 hours Class size 12 to 60 guests     $90

Come and get your hands dirty! This crash course in the basics of hand-building will open up the wonderful world of ceramics to you. Experience the satisfaction of making something with your hands and enjoy a playful morning being creative.

You will learn the basics of hand building with clay – pinching, slab, coiling,  how to join clay to produce bigger pieces, as well as applying underglazes to decorate your piece. With this technique, you can make ceramic bowls, teacups, planters, jewellery holders and more! After the class your pieces will be finished in a clear glaze and kiln fired, making it usable and food-safe. Note that you will pick up your fired piece on another day.

Please note: This class requires at least five students to run. In the unlikely event that we don't get this number of students, we'll cancel the class and fully refund you and inform you via email, so please watch your email a few days prior to the class
