In this fun workshop, you'll learn to do hand tempering on marble (today, most companies use machines to temper their chocolate).
Some of the goodies you'll be making and devouring include a chocolate slab, chocolate bar and hand-flaked hot chocolate. Every class involves 3 hand tempers, so you'll have plenty of opportunity to get some hands-on experience.
You'll learn about the history and science of chocolate, as well as the botany of the cacao tree. You will get to taste a raw cocoa bean and learn the processing involved in transforming the cocoa bean into delicious chocolate!
Each guest will get a sample bag with one of each item made on the day (and we'll all cheer with the hot chocolate at the end of the class), as well as a certificate of completion; you'll also get to eat as you go. This class covers more theory, so if you're more interested in getting straight into the hands-on component and to make/eat more chocolate, check out our other 1.5 hour-long class instead.
Please note: We require a minimum number of 6 people to run this course. If we don't reach this number (doesn't happen often), we'll contact you to rearrange your booking for the next convenient class.
