What you'll do
On the hunt for things to do in Sydney with kids for the school holidays? This drawing workshop for kids in Dulwich Hill is an opportunity for children to have fun while flexing their imagination and creativity coming up with character designs. They'll then breathe life into their ideas when they illustrate their characters and mould them out of clay. Throughout the day, children will alternate between drawing with coloured pencils, markers and watercolours, as well as bringing their characters to life with air-dry clay.Kids will be guided by friendly artist and character designer, Sunny. Sunny begins the workshop by guiding the children through the basic concepts of using shapes to create a unique character to call your own.Kids will get started with pencil on paper and then choose their favourite character to colour in. They will then bring their character to life with air-dry clay in a rainbow of colours.By the end of this creative workshop, the children will have completed planning, sketching and developing a complete character which they then make out of clay.This workshop is perfect for children who love comics, create their sketches or have an interest in doing so. They will be encouraged to explore their ideas and concepts.Bring a friend and save!

My name is Jen and I am passionate about encouraging creativity in students of all ages. Creative Kids Co was founded 11 years ago as a way to encourage and guide children through their own artistic journeys. I am also the co-creator of IMOK (Art, T-shirts & Design), established in 2004, which opened up the door to commission and exhibit my own artworks, complete illustrations for a series of books, as well as sell my wares at design markets nationwide. I have also held live art demonstrations and was the featured artist with US Surf/Skate Company Volcom. My current passion is working with resin and urban illustration.
