What you'll do
Have you always admired beautiful hand-painted ceramics? Well, in this Sydney class you can hand-paint your own gorgeous designs and take home your pieces to proudly put out on the table!During this class, you will paint your design on a plate, a bowl or a mug in a one-off three-hour session. All underglaze paints, two firings, and glazing are done by us in an all-inclusive session.Bring your own designs or choose one of the many pieces we have already painted up and we will guide you through in a step by step instruction class for beginners, to recreate something you would be proud to serve on your table.Once you have finished your creation, you will leave the pieces with us and we will fire and glaze them. These will be available for pick up from our studio approximately 12 days after the class and you can start using them straight away! These pieces are earthenware and can go into the dishwasher and microwave as well.

An earthenware greenware (unfired) plate, mug or equivalent to the cost of these, underglaze paints, two firings in a kiln, and a glazing all done by us. Your ceramic piece will be available for pickup around 12 days after class.

Tennyson Studio is my Ceramic Art and Paint N Sip Studio in Gladesville in Sydney. I took up ceramics and acrylic painting workshops as a hobby back in 1996, did US Ambassadors Ceramics Course with Duncan in 1998 and upon quitting my fulltime job, opened my studio in 2001.We have been creating and inspiring anyone who has never painted before to unwind, create, and paint for the joy and therapeutic benefits. We are all about enjoying the experience with us especially if you have never painted or worked with ceramics before.Our Introduction class session is a great way to see if you would like to join us in a course. We also offer kids and adult birthday parties, hens parties, corporate team bonding, school holiday workshops and kids art classes.
