I am a professional multi-disciplinary abstract artist, deeply passionate about guiding others through the creative process within the abstract realm and the transformative benefits it offers. Abstract art is about letting go, shedding preconceived ideas, and embracing the unknown without fear of failure. It invites you into a world of boundless freedom and exploration, encouraging you to venture into uncharted territory with confidence and joyful abandon.I have enjoyed being an artist for my entire life and have actively explored the abstract realm through sewing, bag making, quilting, felting, patchwork, textile art and painting. I have transformed some of my designed creations into small businesses, selling at markets and online and have enjoyed many years of teaching the skills and techniques that I have developed and sharing my knowledge with others. My current work focuses on large-scale abstract paintings in oils and mixed media, which I regularly exhibit and sell through various galleries and Open Studios.Abstract painting is a freedom of expression that allows the execution of ideas to be freer and more immediate. It gives permission to explore different combinations of technique and colour and find a more fluid and expressive style. It is this freedom of expression that I invite my students to explore in my classes as it is the key to discovering their own unique style and voice.
