Candle Making Class

Learn how to make candles with Arcandles in Redfern

2.5 hours Class size 12 to 60 guests     $130

There’s no denying that the humble candle, first invented by the Romans, has the power to instantly soften a space, combining light, heat and fragrance in a flickering ambience. Become a chandler (‘90s sarcasm optional) in this candle making class. Using soy wax and fresh ingredients with zero preservatives, you’ll create quality candles.

In this beginner's candle making workshop, we’ll cover the selection and blending of fragrance, wicks and waxes, optimal temperatures and room conditions, and the safety and legal requirements of chandlery. The best part? You get to take home everything you make on the day!
Whether you’re looking for a unique gift idea for friends and family, or just want to treat yourself, you’ll walk away from this workshop with loads of knowledge and a swag of delicious smelling candles. All materials are supplied. This class is sure to kindle your interest in the olfaction and aesthetics of the simple and timeless candle.
There will be additional candle making kits for purchase on the day, should you want to continue making more creations at home.
Please note: This class requires at least five students to run. In the unlikely event that we don't get this number of students, we'll cancel the class and fully refund you and inform you via email, so please watch your email a few days prior to the class.

Louise

4.8 (9)

Louise fell in love with handmade crafts at age eight and developed a strong passion to live a natural and organic lifestyle that inspired her to learn about the art of candle making.

The journey initially began as a mind-nourishing hobby that later flourished into a passionate career when her heart was captured by the amazing beauty that a simple fragrant candle brings, together with the calm and aromatic ambience it has to offer.
Her business Arcandles began here – crafted from a humble modest kitchen in Sydney, taking Arcandles friends to moments of beauty, bringing beautiful fragrances into homes, evoking cherished memories and uplifting spirits with this little flame.
Louise would like to share her love and knowledge on candle making. She strongly believes that during the candle making process, students would be able to relief from their daily stressors, nourish their senses with therapeutic fragrances and feeling satisfied with their unique creations.
