Cake Decorating Class: Cupcakes for Beginners

How to decorate cupcakes

3 hours

Class size 1 to 3 (public classes), 6 to 10
$169

Learn how to decorate cupcakes and create edible works of art that you will take home at this sweet Sydney workshop!

This beginner-friendly class will tackle the skill behind sculpting fondant and piping to create scrumptious cupcakes using low-cost equipment commonly found in most kitchens. You will be given an introduction to rolled fondant and buttercream frosting, creating sculpted fondant flowers and other simple cake toppers, and basic swirl piping.

The class will begin with a demonstration (and hands-on practice later) of how to master frosting the cupcake and creating cake toppers, before learning how to channel various character-themes or traditional elements in your cupcake decorating. You will then use your new skills and creativity to decorate four of your own cupcakes.

After decorating your four cupcakes you will be able to take them home (if you can resist eating them for that long!) along with your impressive cupcake decorating skills.

Please also note that the instructor can not provide substitute ingredients for people with allergies.
