Indulge in this unique opportunity to do a course where you will get personalised tips and tricks from a friendly expert in a professional ceramic’s studio.
Throughout this four-part course, you will learn how to wedge clay to prepare it for the throwing process, how to centre the clay on the wheel, how to throw a cylinder – the starting point of many shapes within pottery – and a bowl as well as how to trim your pots. You will also learn some simple glazing techniques too but
Course outline:
  • Week one: Studio introduction and wheel throwing
  • Week two: Wheel throwing continued
  • Week three: Turning, carving and handles
  • Week four: Glazing

Please note we have two different locations as below : Diana Ceramic-Burwood, is close to Storage King and in front of PSA Products Company, with a grey flat unit between Simpson construction buildings. There should also be a big pottery sign next to the gate, and our pink door should be on the right-hand side after walking through the driveway. Diana Ceramic-Brunswick, is situated on Lygon St in front of Flipped Hair Brunswick, near Blyth Street. The nearest tram stop is Stewart St-Stop 126.
