Want to learn how to crochet? Join our beginner's workshop with Hummingbird Crafts and Gifts in Sydney!
In this workshop you will make a crochet swatch by learning how to:
  • Hold a crochet hook and yarn
  • Make a slip knot
  • Create the Foundation Chain/s
  • Create a Single Crochet
  • Create a Double Crochet
  • Learn the basics of pattern reading
Your teachers will carefully and calmly guide you on essential crocheting techniques through a stepped process and will encourage you to ask (lots of) questions, which makes this class perfect for beginners.
We believe in personalised learning so that our students feel motivated to persist and achieve their own unique pieces.
By the end of the class, you will take home your crochet swatch, and have gained beginner's crocheting skills.
With practice, you can create your own passion projects - perhaps a beanie or bikini, or even a granny square or amigurumi bear. The options are endless!

Hummingbird Crafts & Gifts

5.0 (23)

As the owner of Hummingbird Crafts & Gifts I want to share my self-taught love of sewing, knitting, crocheting, and embroidery - especially amongst the young and eager to learn.
I was taught by my grandmother, mother, and aunty; and by the time I was 7, I was successfully embroidering delicate patterns on linen.
To inspire personal joy and a sense of accomplishment, Hummingbird Crafts & Gifts cultivates our natural curiosity to learn how to craft by teaching clearly and simply.
We welcome you to join our group lessons which are limited to 6 people to make your learning carefully guided, achievable, and collaborative.
