2 hours Class size 1 to 4 guests

$175 (Afterpay available)
Join us for an engaging resin class where you will discover all the tips and techniques involved in resin art.
In this two hour workshop, you'll create your own masterpiece on a 30x50cm bamboo tray table, inspired by the beach in Cronulla. Using dyes, pastes, pigments, and pearlescent powders, you'll craft a stunning ocean design with epoxy resin.
This is a small intimate class so that your teacher can focus on each student and be available to assist when needed.
You will be guided on the basics of epoxy resin and resin safety and how to mix, colour and pour resin.
Your teacher will then do a step-by-step demonstration on how to mix colour and create a beautiful ocean/seascape resin table. They will also share all the secrets to get the frothy, lacing cells in the waves.
There would be lots of colours/pigments/ mica available for everyone to choose from to colour their artwork on the day.
Immerse yourself in a fun and creative activity and leave with a beautiful piece of art to adorn your home.
Note:
  • Your finished table will require a 24-hour drying period before collection.
  • The venue is fully accessible and is NDIS funding approved.

What makes me a great teacher?
I have a disability and this difference is my strength.
My journey into the world of art began when my legs were amputated and I was overcome with all these emotions that I couldn’t verbally convey. I felt like I was drowning in sorrow, overcome by the loss of my former life and needing an outlet to express what was inside. I was invited to an art therapy class whilst in a rehabilitation hospital and instantly felt a sense of relief as my canvas lit up with a kaleidoscope of colour. It was as if I had discovered a new way to communicate with the world.
Over the years since then I have explored different mediums and have found myself captivated by the abstract nature of acrylic resin and alcohol inks.
I am particularly captivated by the ocean and it has become my canvas; its turbulent nature means that no day is ever the same and I love that.
My classes are very relaxed as I tend to focus on listening to each of my students and not simply talking at them (like so many people do). I like to see them discover their own talents and am always on hand to give gentle direction and advice when requested.
It’s incredibly rewarding to see their stories play out in front of their own eyes and the joy they experience as a result.
