Welcome to dessert heaven! In this baking class with Sydney Cooking School, you will learn how to make two scrumptious cakes under the expert guidance of experienced pastry chef Mayumi from Mimi's Pastry.

In this fun baking class, you will learn the art of baking a fluffy and sweet Japanese cheesecake and a moist almond sponge, decorated with seasonal fruits (if you can make it through the class without digging in, that is!).
Mayumi will share with you her passion for pastries and cakes as she guides you through this beginner-friendly class. Everyone will take away valuable tips and new techniques to further their at-home experience. Enjoy Mayumi's friendly and experienced teaching style as she shares with you her wealth of experience and handy tips.
Enjoy tasters throughout the class and take home a box of your delicious creations. Just be careful,  they won't last long!
Please note: Sydney Cooking School reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a class for reasons concerning SCS. If a class has been cancelled due to low attendance, sickness or any other matter regarding SCS, all students will be notified within 48 hours of the class commencement date, and the option to reschedule to another date or full refunds provided.

Specialising in French pastry with an essence of her Japanese origin, Pastry Chef Mayumi creates pastries and desserts with love and truly enjoys sharing her passion with people. Mayumi is well travelled and has lived in several countries to train her palate and skills, working in Japan, France and Singapore with many passionate chefs. She was inspired by “Olivier Bajard”, a world pastry champion in France and worked with Oliver at his pastry school “Ecole International de patisserie Olivier Bajard.  In Australia, Mayumi has worked at “Lake House”(2 hats restaurant) in Victoria, “Kazuki’s”(1 hat restaurant) in Melbourne, “The Bather’s Pavilion”(1 hat restaurant) and currently teaches Pastry at “Le Cordon Bleu”.
